How EasyMinders Came About

Some ideas come ahead of their time. Luckily, EasyMinders are ready to use right now, and just in the nick of time! Our founder, Harlyene Goss, came up with the idea before most people realized the importance of recycling and reuse of natural resources.

RECYCLING AND REUSE ARE KEY

In her previous career as a medical technologist, Harlyene was on several hospital committees to work on separating medical waste and recycling paper. With all the research her committees did, she was hooked! Recycling became and remains a passion for her.

This was in the early 1990s when many people had not even heard of recycling, and few were practicing it.

CONVENIENT MEMORY TOOLS GIVE BIRTH TO A GREAT IDEA

With three teenagers eating Harlyene out of house and home, they never would say when they used up anything. So she put a pad of paper on the refrigerator asking them to leave her a note. She always wondered if the kids knew how to hold a pen, because they never wrote anything on the pad!

So she typed up her grocery list, laminated it, and hung that on the refrigerator. She took some Velcro and attached a marker to the list. To her surprise, even her husband starting checking off things when he needed them. And she realized she was onto something!
